Against today’s doom and gloom, wars and ecological destruction, we can see a number of hopeful trends converging on a surprising point: the emergence of a wiser, more sustainable, more spiritual culture. It is a new level of planetary integration, and just as drastic a transition as the industrial revolution. The people coming to this festival are part of the great transition that is emerging now.
Paul H. Ray, Ph.D. is co-author of The Cultural Creatives. He designed and ran the original survey research that identified the Cultural Creatives. His current research includes surveys on developments beyond left and right in politics, “the New Political Compass,” and theoretical and practical work on the design of a wisdom civilization, working with NGOs, new political groups and governments, and with green and socially responsible businesses. He is now a professor at Wisdom University, and has been an executive in business, a Canadian government official and a professor at the University of Michigan
