Shamanism and Science

Sunday, 12 - 1:30 pm, Room 2

A Day Pass is required for Admission

In the middle ages healing was thought to be under the near exclusive control of angels and demons. Now it is thought to be the doctors, the HMO's and the pharmaceutical companies. In much of Latin America they call Western Medicine death Medicine. Because one would only us it if there was no doubt they were going to die and if they use it odds are they will die. In Latin America Shamanism and Magic are used to heal. Recently Langevin has been doing therapy with drug addicts and highly dysfunctional families. The initial results have been great. Scientific therapies and Shamanism work more efficiently hand in hand.

Michael Peter Langevin is the author of Secrets of the Ancient Incas, Secrets of the Amazon Shamans and Spiritual Business. His forthcoming book is Prosper While the World Crumbles. He has lectured and taught workshops internationally. He has studied extensively in Latin America. He has his Masters Degree in Social Work and sees clients in private sessions.
